Who owns the assets I generate with IconScout GenAI?

You do. Assets you generate are yours to use in personal and commercial projects — apps, websites, marketing, client work and merchandise — with no attribution required.

Can I use AI-generated assets commercially?

Yes. Everything you generate can be used in commercial work like client projects, products you sell, advertising with no attribution and no royalties. The one thing the licence doesn't allow is reselling or redistributing the generated files themselves as stock assets.

Which AI models does IconScout GenAI use?

IconScout GenAI runs on Flux 2 Pro, Recraft, GPT Image, Grok, Seedream, Qwen and Nano Banana 2. Each tool routes to whichever model performs best for that asset type, so you get the right engine for icons, illustrations, images or 3D without choosing one yourself. New models are added as they're released.

How do I write a good prompt for icons and illustrations?

Name the subject first, then the style, then the constraints. "A line-style shopping cart icon, 2px stroke, rounded corners, no fill" gives a far better result than "shopping cart". For a set that needs to match, keep the style clause identical across every prompt and change only the subject. For illustrations, add your colour palette and the composition. Stacking more than three or four style modifiers tends to muddy the output.

Can I edit assets after generating them?

Yes. Vector output can be recoloured, resized and reshaped in the SVG Editor , and 3D assets can be adjusted and exported from the glTF 3D Editor . You can also run any generated asset back through AI Reimagine to change its style, remove elements or swap objects.

Do I need design experience to use IconScout GenAI?

No. The generators work from a text description — type what you want and pick a style. There's nothing to install and no design software required. If you'd rather start from something existing, the Vectorizer , Background Remover , Image Upscaler and AI Reimagine all work on files you upload.

Is IconScout GenAI free?

Yes, every AI tool is free to try — no credit card needed. The free plan includes 3 generations, and a paid subscription removes that limit and gives you additional credits based on your subscription.

Can IconScout GenAI generate SVG and vector files?

Yes — the Icon Generator and Illustration Generator produce editable vector SVG, so your output scales to any size and can be recoloured in code. Most AI generators stop at raster PNG.

What formats do the tools output?

Icons and illustrations export as SVG and PNG. Images export as PNG. 3D assets export as PNG and 3D models can export to glTF.

Is my uploaded content used to train AI models?
