What is an API credit?

A credit is what a download costs, and the cost depends on the asset: 1 icon = 1 credit, 1 illustration = 10 credits and 1 3D icon = 15 credits. You only spend credits when you download an asset.

Does searching cost credits?

No. Only downloads cost credits, so you can search and browse without touching your monthly allowance.

Do unused credits roll over to the next month?

No, they don't roll over. Your credits are a monthly allowance rather than a balance you build up, so anything you haven't used is gone when the cycle resets. On the free plan that happens on the 1st of each month, and on a paid plan at the start of your billing cycle.

How do I track my API usage?

Your API dashboard shows credits used, credits remaining and the date your allowance resets, for every app you have created. Open the app and choose Usage Report to see it, along with a daily breakdown of your downloads.

Will I be told before I run out of credits?

Yes. We'll email you as you pass 50%, 75%, 90% and 100% of your monthly credits. Each email shows what you've used, what's left and when your credits reset. If you'd like someone else kept in the loop, you can add billing or technical contacts in your API dashboard.

What happens if I use all my credits?

That depends on whether you have additional credits switched on. If you do, nothing stops. Anything past your allowance is billed at the additional-credit rate shown on your plan and in your API dashboard, and you only pay for what you actually use. There is no block to buy upfront, and no extra charge at all in a month where you stay inside your plan. If additional credits are switched off, we'll email you when you reach your limit so you can upgrade or wait for your next reset.

How do I turn additional credits on or off?

Additional credits are off by default and are yours to control. Open your app in the API dashboard and use the Additional credits switch to turn them on or off at any time. They are available on paid plans.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes. You can move to a larger plan whenever you need to — if you regularly go past your allowance, a bigger plan usually costs less than the additional credits. For high-volume or enterprise use, talk to our team about a custom plan.

Can I use the assets commercially?

Yes. Every API plan, including the free one, includes a commercial license for the assets you download. The full terms, and the few things the license does not cover, are set out on our licenses page .

Will my API subscription be auto-renewed?

Yes. API plans are billed monthly, so we charge the same amount each month and keep the plan running until you cancel it.

What are the payment options available?

We accept two payment methods: PayPal and Stripe.

How many products can I connect to one API key?

Each API key is for one product. If you are running more than one, create a separate app for each in your API dashboard and you will get a key per app.
